Services:

Everybody contributing to the food supply – farmers, processors, traders, retailers – must in some way or other contribute to the quality assurance and control of the delivered product. Due diligence is today a legal requirement! Too much or too little can be done – finding the balance to do just enough is not always simple.
I am offering services on all aspects of quality assurance and control in the food and food associated sector for food traders, importers, exporters and retailers:

    • Tailor-made inspections at factories, giving advice on problem solving
    • Root cause analysis of faulty production
    • Working with management and on the shop-floor to introduce, develop and establish hygiene plans and quality management schemes.
    • Development of product-specific, targeted and cost-efficient analysis plans for on-going quality control (due diligence)
    • Organisation of laboratory tests
    • Establishing contact, accompanying or guiding negotiations with Swiss legislative and enforcement agencies
    • Assisting with preparing position papers and preparation of possible measures as a response to official contestations or enforcement actions.

      Inspections, Investigations, Solutions to problems:

      Imported goods may sometimes present problems: incorrect labelling, incorrect composition, residues and additives may cause worries, and sometimes things just simply go wrong and are detected a little too late!
      I am offering targeted inspections and assistance in problem-solving with suppliers of finished products, intermediates and raw materials in Switzerland and abroad.

      China – one of my special fields of activity:

      Audits
      My contacts with the Chinese food industry and quality assurance date back more than 20 years. I am actively counselling Chinese food factories in all matters of hygiene and quality assurance. As a Food Safety Director of Beijing Sino-Swiss ADC Technical Services Co. Ltd, I have introduced the private food safety standards BRC and IFS to China. This compa-ny offers certification services along the whole food chain, including the above-mentioned standards as well as EurepGAP. These services cover not only China but also other Far East states such as Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand etc.
